Softball Tournament
Saturday September 12th (date change)

The Justin Sheftel Memorial Softball Tournament will be celebrating the fifth annual outing. Starting with four teams, from the original Ocean City groups, growing to 16 for 2007and now 20 for 2008, and continuing with 20 (or more) teams for 2009, it has become a popular, fun day to spend and remember Justin the student, classmate, son, cousin, and nephew. While the venue grows and the community is involved, it happens because of the dedication to Justin’s memory and all this really stands for, is honoring and remembering their friend. The Justin Sheftel Memorial Softball Tournament will be celebrating the 16th annual outing. Our Mission Statement
To celebrate Justin by providing athletic and educational opportunities for underserved youth in the greater Lehigh Valley.
Our Values
Teamwork, Service, Family, Friendship

While the venue grows and the community involvement increases, all of this has taken place because of the dedication to Justin’s memory and all the tournament really stands for, honoring and remembering their friend.
The Softball Tournament supports the Memorial Fund. We have awarded scholarships and monies to non-profits totaling over $500,000, a number that has exceeded our expectations. We started awarding scholarships in 2006 with two scholarships to Parkland Seniors continuing on to College. We have continued our support for Parkland graduating seniors; in 2019 we expanded our scholarship awards to include seniors at William Allen and Dieruff high schools.
Our first non profit donation in 2007 went to the Lehigh Valley Miracle League (LVML), in Justin’s Honor. We have continued donating to the the LVML, and have expanded our non profit donations with a focus on local non profits, including the Allentown Drive program, Community Bike Works, Lehigh Valley Jewish Community Center, and the Five Star Heart project (for more information on the scholarships ((with updates)) and the non profits, click on the home page tab see scholarships and non-profits).
Starting in 2019-2020 we will be selecting the non-profits working with the Justin Sheftel Memorial Board.
