Mocktail 2015

This year we will be using the same format as in 2014, so there will be 4 Red Robin mixologists competing and representing their restaurants. This format promises a good and tasty competition. Looking forward to the concoctions for this year.

For 2015 we will have 4 judges, including Charlie Manuel, Jackie Bolig representing St. Lukes University Sports Medicine, Bob representative from Hawk/ESPN Radio and Jim Ryan, CEO for the Lehigh Valley Restaurant group, (Red Robin).

In her spare time she loves to play volleyball, draw, be creative in anyway she can and spend time with the ones who mean the most to me. I love to laugh and am rarely seen without a smile on my face. In the rest of my time that is not free, I love being  with my Red Robin® Family! Melissa is a two-year veteran at Red Robin®. She just became the store’s ITC (In-Store Training Coordinator) and has been bartending for about a year and a half. Her favorite drink to make is the Sand in Your Shorts, but her favorite drink to drink is a strawberry milkshake with Oreo® cookies, yum! When she’s not smiling her way through a shift here in Saucon Valley, she’s a full time student going to school for web development. She likes to listen to music, dance and she LOVES to cook! Either way, she’s got a full plate but handles it well. She’s looking forward to competing in the mixologist contest and showing off her skills!

Northampton Crossings

o   Mixologist: Mike Ford

o   Mixologist Drink Name: The Hawaiian Trash Can

o   Biography:

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s Mike Ford! The year was 1991 in the tiny town of Waterbury Connecticut when Michael Ford was born. Soon after, he moved to the great Lehigh Valley. Many years later, disaster struck when young Mike visited a Red Robin and received a Freckled Lemonade®, with NO strawberries! He knew right then he had a job to do. Mike had found his calling. For years he trained and prepared until the day he could finally apply to be a bartender at the Northampton Crossings Red Robin®. From that day forward, no lemonade has gone out “un-freckled!” Mike can always be found with a big smile, behind the bar, protecting guests from poor drinks and service.
