Mocktail Mix Off 2010 was very interesting, we were excited to have Red Robin on board for their first year to sponsor the tournament.  It was and good fit, looking forward to 2011.

All the mixologists brought very different Mocktails for the competition.  We had one presented with a glasses lined with ginger sugar (the winner click here for the recipe Gingered Granate Mocktail), we had another one that used kool aid as the key ingredient, (a strong contender).  The tent was very crowded, and everyone had a chance to try all four of the Mocktails.

We had four Mixologists, Pat Beldon, Judy Sheftel’s sister (Justin’s Aunt), Barry Morrell, last year’s winner and long time friend of the family, Steve Schmidt, father of Ryan and Mark Schmidt, and great supporter of the tournament, and Amanda ziegler, representative from Red Robin.

Pat Beldon with her ‘Gingered Granate’ walked away as the winner, it was very close the judges had to work hard  to make a decision.

Judging was done by Keith Groller, sports announcer and writer, Charlie Dent, US Representative, Mike Davila, Linda Sheftel’s brother, and Melissa Lawson, 2010 Scholarship Winner.

It was a great event and one that will continue to contribute to the tournament, and our message to the community, fans and supporters,  – do NOT drink and drive.

redrobinA word about Red Robin:

Red Robin was founded on four core values: Honor, Integrity, Continually Seeking Knowledge and Having Fun. These core values are the foundation for every Red Robin decision from creating its mouth-watering gourmet burgers to hiring energetic team members. They are also the foundation of how the company treats its team members, guests and communities. Red Robin’s core values can be found embroidered on the sleeve of every team member’s uniform, which serves as a constant reminder of what makes the company unique and special. These core values are the basis of the Red Robin cultural atmosphere. You can see this culture when the servers go out of their way to provide a memorable experience for every guest, when the mixologists card any guest under the age of 39½, when the cooks make each smiling burger picture perfect and so much more.

Red Robin also has an unparalleled and extraordinary approach to guest service known as Unbridled Acts. There are thousands of stories of Red Robin team members who live the company values through random acts of kindness they bestow upon restaurant guests, fellow team members and manager.
